## What it does

- Catch silent changes: The client's marketer installs Hotjar and nobody tells you. You find out the same week, from us, rather than from a regulator's letter.
- Evidence with a timestamp: Every scan keeps the cookie list, the third-party request list and the before and after screenshots, with an absolute UTC time and a SHA-256.
- Reports your client can read: A one-click PDF under your own logo, plus a share link you can send without giving anyone an account.
- Free tier: 3 core actions per day, no credit card.

## What it explicitly does not do

- ConsentProof does not serve a cookie banner, does not write your cookie policy, and cannot make a site compliant. It tests one thing — whether non-essential cookies and third-party trackers fire before a visitor consents — and records what it saw, with a timestamp. Keep whichever consent platform you already use; an independent test is worth more than one run by the vendor being tested.
- Independent proof that your clients' cookie banners actually block trackers. Evidence about what a browser observed — not legal advice, and not a compliance certification.

- What is ConsentProof? ConsentProof is a cookie consent checker that scans any website with a real browser and records which cookies and third-party trackers fire before the visitor consents. It is an independent test of a consent banner, not a consent banner.
- Is the scan really free, with no account? Yes. Public scans need no account, no email and no card, and they return the full evidence rather than a summary. They are rate-limited to 3 scans per IP per day and 1 scan per site per hour.
- How long does a scan take? Usually under a minute. The scan loads the page in a clean session, waits for the network to settle, clicks the consent banner, waits for tags to fire, and captures both states.
- Do I have to replace my clients' cookie banners? No. We do not sell a banner and have no interest in replacing one. Keep Cookiebot, CookieYes, a self-hosted library or whatever else is installed; this tells you whether it is doing its job.
- How do I cancel? From Account → Manage billing, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
